Walk for Water: Raise Funds & Awareness

One of the ways we have encouraged individuals to participate in helping to raise money for the Water for Anasi project is to “walk for water” and collect pledges from friends and family for miles walked. Bring the money you have raised to the Full Moon Festival on July 15, 2011, at Arbordoun Farm in Richardson Valley as we celebrate all of the fundraising and volunteer efforts to make Water for Anasi a success. Collect the most pledges and win an iPod Touch!

Walking in pairs or as a team is a fun way to “walk for water.” The Fitness and Ecology Trail at the Lopez School is ideal for walking and a 20 minute brisk walk is approximately equal to one mile. So sign up your pledges and start walking!

The downloadable pledge form tells the story of  Water for Anasi and provides a form for collecting and keeping track of pledges. Download the form, start collecting pledges and see if you can  win the iPod Touch for most pledges collected.

Details: The person that signs up and collects the most pledges by July 15 will win a new iPod Touch! See you at the Full Moon Festival!
